Privacy Policy
Effective [Date]. We follow the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173). Personal Information Controller: Course Expertise and Virtual Assistance Services, a sole proprietorship owned by Mark Ian F. Heredero (Unit 2 WRDC Building, Junction 3 National Highway, Tiniguiban, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan 5300). Data Protection Officer: Mark Ian F. Heredero, joinvavu@gmail.com.
1. What we collect
- Account details: name, email, and password (stored as a secure hash by our provider).
- Learning data: lessons completed, practice task links, scores, and feedback.
- Done-for-you service data you give us, such as work history, education, skills, photo, and contact details.
- Payment records: plan, amount, date, and status. Card and e-wallet details are handled by PayMongo, not VAVU.
- Basic technical data needed to keep the service secure, such as login sessions.
2. Why we use it
- To create and secure your account and give you access to your plan.
- To review your tasks and track your progress.
- To prepare your CV, resume, and portfolio when you request it.
- To process payments and send receipts and account notices.
- With your consent: to feature your work or testimonial, and to share your profile with potential clients for job matching.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with providers that help us run VAVU: Supabase (database and login), Vercel (hosting), PayMongo (payments), and Google Workspace (documents). Some providers may store data outside the Philippines.
4. How long we keep it
While your account is active, and up to [2 years] after your last activity unless the law requires longer (for example, payment records for tax purposes). Then we delete or anonymize it.
5. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and database security rules so each student can only access their own data. Only authorized VAVU staff can see submissions and intake information.
6. Your rights
You have the right to be informed, to access, to correct, to object, to erasure or blocking, to data portability, and to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. Email joinvavu@gmail.com to use these rights.
7. Changes
We will post updates here and notify you of important changes by email or in the app.
